Red Flags blog

When I first started to look for an internship opportunity, I was able to find many companies, or even fake companies, that had many red flags that you could see just by looking at them. One of the biggest red flags that I saw was when I got an email from a very sketchy email address that was offering me an internship that I didn't even apply to, and it was also offering me much more money than the average internship pays. This had many red flags in just that one email because, according to the PDF, it talks about how it is a red flag if the email that you get does not have a domain that is related to the company. Another red flag in this email is that it was offering me a job I did not apply for, and it was also over the salary range for the job. This was not the only time there were emails in my inbox full of red flags like that one. I also got a text from an unknown number and it was telling me to apply for a job at their place for over the summer. When I looked up their area code from their number, it was not even from the US. I later got a follow-up email to this text, and it was telling me that to get the job, I had to give my Social Security number and bank account. These were very obvious red flags from this because I was not even responding, and the follow-ups kept coming, getting more and more ridiculous. Over, when I started the process of finding an internship, there were a lot of red flags that I found when I was in the search. This PDF, which showed red flags, showed me that there were even more that I had missed when I was in my search.
